Book value reflects average RETAIL for NADA and trade-in or HIGH retail for KBB. After looking around a LOT in the past few weeks, I have found that neither sellers or dealers pay any attention to book value. I checked on a 2001 Thunderbird for sale in Houston and the dealer selling said that book meant nothing as they sold every one for twice book.

A 2003 BA is going from $3500-4200 in most of the country if in good shape and low mileage. The color matters; some colors bring more than others such as green and red bring more than black of blue from my very subjective search of the market. The BA seems to bring a bit more than the Speedmaster. I am not justifying what I am saying just saying that is what I saw.
