Okay, so thanks to all the mems I acquired a full set of extra skins for my BA from last year. Over this fall/winter I have been projecting (as time permitted) on getting them set to paint. The tank (used) had some fairly large dents & the compressed air trick wouldn't work so I tried a different approach.....hot & cold. First heated to bright red hot & then immediately applied dry ice:


That pulled the steel tighter but only brought the dents out about 1/4 of an inch. So, filled the remaining divits with silver solder .....

Then worked on filing/sanding the excess:


Then putty & glaze to smooth/ blend to the contour of the tank.


Then Primer & sand, primer & sand....


Then off to the painter....after 5 coats (of 8) clear...still some issues being worked on the paint due to contamination...but should have the new skins on the BA in a week or so:
