Got the three in, ground and pos out then there's another black and blue.



I don't remember the colors exactly, but that 5th wire is most likely the one that supplies power to the Carb Heater Thermostat Switch (pin 4). The carb heaters are run directly off the Regulator and will not operate on battery power.

Do you have a copy of the OEM wiring schematic?
