The coils (yellow wires) use the Coil #1 (pin 8) and Coil #3 (pin 14) outputs from the CDI. Coil #2 and Coil #4 outputs from the CDI are not used at all.

The hot side (red wires) on the coils get +ve from the Start/Stop switch via Pins 1 and 2 (jumpered together if alarm is not used) of the alarm control connector. In other words....

Pin 6 on the ignition switch to...
Start/Stop Switch to....
Pin 2 on the alarm control unit connector...
Back out Pin 1 on the alarm control unit connector (jumpered if alarm is not installed)...
Then to the Coils (red wires).

That's how it was/is originally wired. Hope that made sense.
