Yeah man, I know you are a fan. I'll say more. The show starts with Frey and Henley sitting on amps reminiscing about the beginning. They are soon joined by Leadon as a trio for "Train Leaves Here This Morning" then by Timothy for "Peaceful Easy Feeling" with Henley keeping the beat on his acoustic. Walsh walks out on stage in the middle of the newly arranged "Witchy Woman" without saying anything, and he really didn't say anything for the first set. The first set was mostly the greatest hits up until Leadon departed. I was really impressed with him, and how well he fit with Walsh. No tension, just admiration. They both get along with well with Steuart, and from their stage language, admire his talent. Hell, he has been with them for 13 years now. Still would be nice to see them make-up with Felder. Not sure if Meisner is going to live, so that may never happen. I had a feeling that he would have been asked to participate in this tour if he hadn't gotten sick. Damn.
Walsh and Steuart rocked the second set, with all of their guitar-heavy songs. Joe might have done a 5 minute solo on "The Long Run," and if you like his voice, he sounded great throughout the night. I do.
They stayed away from "Seven Bridges". Thank goodness.
I could probably go on forever.
