I agree to a certain point but, are we talking about 2" ice or show? Big difference.

Two weeks ago when the other storm blasted the south I was in New Orleans. I drove from N.O. to Knoxville, TN in a Hyundai Santa Fe, front wheel drive only. What should have been an 8 hour drive became a day and a half journey. La, all of Mississippi and half of Ala was covered in ice.
Not sure how I made it but I did, thank goodness for GPS.
I saw literally 1000's of stranded cars and motorists, thought I was going to be stranded on the highway on several occasion. With experience, skill, luck and stubbornness I made it home with no issues.

Here's the deal, lots of vehicles will move on ice, getting them stopped is another issue all together, especially while texting and eating a cheeseburger
