Really excited as I haven't been to a Georgia rally since '08,due to all different reasons.I hope we have a good turnout.By the way where are all the cool kids staying? Any peeps fron N.C. or anywhere want hook up for the ride? I'm in Wilkesboro.Let me know.

Just did a new front tire myself. Shocks should be in next Tuesday. Doing a bunch of other prep work, too. There's a thread about it over in the tech section.
I haven't been up to the N Ga mountains since last rally. Ready to do this!

Ride report!!!!
Ok kiddies.. the things I do for you guys.. jeez!... This morning while the squids were yet to terrorize the travelers on 400 north on their way to test their mad yankin' and bankin' skills in the north Georgia mountains and the HOG riders were still in bed dreaming of the new stickers they bought for their brain bucket and which doo rag to wear too match their sleeveless T's. Then the load up of as much beer as necessary to provide for their epic 100 mile run and the adventure bikers were busily loading enough weapons and survival supplies into their titanium saddle bags for the impending zombie apocalypse, the PPPH's (pedal pushing pistachio heads) were already downing energy bars and drinks for their ongoing rolling tribute to the Lance Armstrongs of the world. I was out and about checking the roads for our upcoming event..... Hwy 19 is in good shape... aside from the toxic(?) chemical spill that seems to saturate one lane from Turners Corner all the way to lodge on the top of the mountain.. ( I can't imagine how big something had to be to carry that much.. whatever.. to cover 10 miles of highway). 180 has some pretty rough spots on the 19 end with the multitude of twisties while certainly still ride-able, I wouldn't push the lean angle too much till you know what you're getting into. Highway 60 on the Lumpkin county side is still in the same horrible shape it was last year... many a tar snake ( I think they are breeding) but still fast enough to get the adrenaline pumping. On the upside it seems the gravel sweepers have been out in force cause i seen nary a patch in all my travels.
Looking forward to it.. till then.

Just a big ole rock, it's really nice but it's been commercialized, and the only way to get there from the north is to go through some really yucky traffic.
Panola Mtn. State park and Mt. Arabia are cool, in Dekalb and Rockdale county. Sorta like Stone Mtn. But smaller.

He lives! He lives! Come up on to Suches big boy!!!! Here is the deal on Raj. Yota and I found some evidence of bed bugs in our room last year, and he doesn't like Charlie. He was also oddly attracted to my Tiger calling it "very smooth," so we are moving out of town.

Since I split your place April 27 running in front of the rain back to Moody Hollow? I don't recall 19 being gooped up, although there were fresh pieces for the tree of shame just North of the Youth Center on 19. Blairsville, ah Alexander's Store ($129 Mosins) and Logan's Turnpike Mill...

And the store right across from Two Wheels Only has gas that has not been adulterated with corn.

I should not that Yota tolerates Charlie. It is Raj who does not like him. I find Charlie delightful.

Oconee's cleaner, Sinclair tends to be a bit murky. Reynold's Plantation on Oconee is for golfy snobbysorta moneypeople, stay away from them, they hate bikes.

Here at Lawrence Shoals on lake Oconee. Rolled through lake Sinclair rec area off of Putnam beach rd. Nice place too but no beer stores. None here either. Ingles in town was the ticket.
I rolled by that golf retreat. Hooty tooty? You don't say!
