Camping tonight at either Lake Sinclair or Lake Oconee
Oconee's cleaner, Sinclair tends to be a bit murky. Reynold's Plantation on Oconee is for golfy snobbysorta moneypeople, stay away from them, they hate bikes.
Here at Lawrence Shoals on lake Oconee. Rolled through lake Sinclair rec area off of Putnam beach rd. Nice place too but no beer stores. None here either. Ingles in town was the ticket.
I rolled by that golf retreat. Hooty tooty? You don't say!
One of the big strip club operators used to live out there. Back in the day, I lost money in a golf tournament there. Beautiful area, but it isn't as high falootin' as it seems.

Wednesday night has its fair share of gully washers too. Those gravel sweepers will have their work cut out for them when this is over. Those of you travelling in, keep a weather eye tomorrow.

Nina, Rachel and I found our way from the pole barn to the cabin. Staying up here sure beats day tripping up and back. Now just hoping for surprise sunshine tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a good time, was really strange weather for almost June. I had a bad combo of having to work and bike being down. She's putting out very low voltage, died on me and had to come home on a rollback.
Now go dry out your socks!

Glad you folks made it home safely. It was a great visit but not a great rally.. cold and rain pretty much put a damper on motorcycle related activities. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to come visit, and pitching in to make it a success.

I got home yesterday afternoon. Couldn't sleep in the motel room, so just loaded up, hit the road early, and took it easy home. Thought it would be a little too early to stop by the pole barn. Got rained on until around Charlotte and then it cleared up for the last couple hours home. It was good to see everyone again. Thank you to Chy and Di for hosting us again. Everybody take care, Will

Stopped for late breakfast at The Hole in the Wall restaurant.Great little place BTW.Just took my time getting home making several stops in Cherokee,Bryson City and Maggie Valley.Arrived home around 7 p.m. Thanks to Chy and Di for their hospitality. It was great to see some familiar faces,as I haven't been to a rally since '08.

I thought a lot about you all this weekend. Weather or not, I would have much rather been there.
BMOA Rally. A graduation. Wife out of town, too, so I couldn't even stay at my own rally, commuting 80 miles to & from each day for 4 days. But we did have great weather here.
I'm afraid I've lost the engine on my SM - not the bike's fault. I'll post that in another thread.
Glad everyone got home safe, and I hope to be there next year.

got home monday night around 5. stopped in franklin sunday. would have ridden out of the rain sooner but took a wrong turn and spent an hour longer getting north. should have just rode over blood mtn and into blairsville, would have been quicker. still a great rally even with the weather.

Wow! I'm finally slowing down a bit from rally weekend. Collected my thoughts and licked my wounds. Coldest ever but in true GaRally fashion, we soldiered on. Thanks again to all those who braved the cold, rain and the miles to come visit with us again... we had a blast! Posted some pics here... see y'all next year.

It is hard to believe our last Georgia rally was a month ago, time sure does fly right by us. I want to say a Huge Thank You to everyone that was able to attend! My sister Deb also was able to attend this rally, I'm glad that she just happened to be here staying with us, so that she could meet some of our rally friends that we are always talking about!! I had a wonderful time visiting, hanging out at pole barn central, it was indeed a colder rally than usual, more rain than we had anticipated. Our rally friends and family are real troopers attending despite the rain. I deeply appreciate each and every one of you and very much look forward to our next Georgia Rally!!!
