Yes, lot's of mistakes were made by both parties. At this point no one knows how this confrontation began. According to the riders the SUV cut them off. Which is probably exactly what happened, but was there something prior to this that may have aggravated the cager? Probably not.

The riders got pissed as we all would and got up behind the SUV. He backs up and hit one of the riders, at that point they had his tag number, a witness and 911 had been called.

They followed the driver to his home and parked in front of his drive way, not a good idea seeing as he had already tried to back over them earlier.
The driver goes inside tells the misses to call 911, good Idea, stay inside and wait for the cops. No he goes back outside (bad idea) guns a blazing, and tried to kill one of the riders.
Standing over him and firing several rounds into the rider. Who amazingly is still alive.

This same SUV driver was involved with a road rage incident several years back in the same area. A fairly quite area of town.
