Wow. He outlasted Johhy Weissmuller, the former Olympic swimmer who was the "human" star. I loved those old Tarzan movies.

Anyone here remember watching "Circus Boy?" Didn't that kid later become the drummer in the Monkees? (See? I successfully tied in this missing link to a monkey albeit spelled diffrently.)

Pes, Speakin' of which...my dear departed Pop, who was a big Edgar Rice Borough fan, used to do a killer Tarzan yell, with that trademark yodel and the whole nine yards. Cheers, Dwight (through Mom drew the line with regards to the loincloth)

Yes I used to work on that yell until I was blue in the face. I think it ended up sounding more like Jane's yell Here's some trivia. What redheaded actress played Tarzan's (Johhny Weismuller) main squeeze in many of the tarzan movies??

Oh...I know this.....
Mia Farrow's mother, Maureen O'Sullivan.(she was hotter in her youth than her daughter ever was)
I remember watching on TV as a kid, "Tarzan's New York Adventure", where he jumps off the Brooklyn Bridge to escape the law and to the disbelief of the NYPD and the bystanders who witness it(they think he's just committed suicide). But Jane(Ms. O'Sullivan) has a look on her face like it's just another day at the ol' office for the intrepid hero, and she knows she'll meet up with him later.
Cheers, Dwight (maybe at Coney Island for a Nathan's hot dog)

Way to go Dwight!!! Marueen O'Sullivan not to be confused with Maureen O'hare another red headed hottie. She was John Wayne's co-start in a couple of movies. You win the Tarzan trivia qustion of the day. She was one hot Jane. In some of the earlier version some of her outfits were pretty revealing for the time. I remember "Tarzan's New York Adventure" one of the classics. I noticed you don't see many of the old Tarzan films on the classic movie channels on TV. I would like to have my 15 year watch a couple. He still thinks the best Tarzan movie was the Disney cartoon version.

Yep! Kids...no appreciation for the "classics"! But that's the way it is today. If it isn't in Techicolor, the kids(and surprising the term "kids" appear to be anyone under the age of FORTY nowdays) just can't seem to find it in themselves to sit and watch a movie made in "Black and White". Ya know how many of these "kids" have never seen "Citizen Kane" or "Casablanca" or "Mr.Smith Goes To Washington" or "Stagecoach" or "The Third Man" or........................? Cheers, Dwight

They just release a Johnny Weissmuller collection onto DVD. Those were the only Tarzan movies if you ask me.
