Boy is she cute...you "should" feel proud of her!!!  Love watching kids play hockey.... Love watching the parents even more!

My sister plays hockey as well (along with skiing, rugby, etc...)

Welcome to many an hour of enjoyment watching her play, get a warm coffee sit back and let the coach coach and the ref ref.  Its much more entertaining that way.

You don't really get to sit back and watch much. They are always looking for volunteers. I've helped coach 3 years now and I think this year the kids have surpassed my skill level.

Being in the same geographic arena (pun intended) and acting as a coach you get the suggestion. Growing up we had a family where the mom dressed in her mink coat would move up and down the boards yelling at her son, berating the coaches for not playing her son enough and discrediting any call the ref would make. Everyone in Riverside refers to that type of parent as a Mrs. Txxx to this day. How would you like to grow up with that legacy?

Thanks everyone...I love going to watch hockey, we have the Winterhawks (WHL) here in Portland, and my wife (a Montanan) ice skated when she was young and we were looking for a team sport for her to try and she had been going ice skating and another girl a little older said she was playing hockey so Stella, became interested. They are looking to start a young girls peewee hockey league if there was enough interest, which it looks like there may be. Anyway, she is wanting to skate a lot now, and there is one more clinic in February and hopefully in the spring the league will come together. She said to make sure I said, "Hi" back Keith.

Good for her! I skated in a PeeWee league under Bob Sabourin many, many years ago. Lots of fun and no sweat on the ice.
