One of the few things Ronnie R did that I approved of. Congress passed a bill requiring the U.S. to change to Metric. He couldn't over ride Congress, so he found a way to DEFUND it. And while I understand the logical superiority of Metric, I'm an old cranker and I just don't want to change my thinking.
