I wouldn't sweat it. A good engine like to work hard. You'd be hard pressed to wear out a motorcycle engine.
By downshifting going into a turn, you're slowing the motorcycle for proper corner speed. Added bonus, you'll be in the right gear for maximum acceleration out of the turn.
As they say, slow in, out with a grin.
This was just a light hearted post about how much fun these Triumphs are and how well they handle for forward control cruisers.

Being an ignorant motorcycle rider I had no idea how lucky I've been through all these years, miles and bikes without a single accident.
