This particular bike might be worth more and in fact could be worth $12K or more, but from what I'm noticed recently, some of the vintage market has slipped just a little in recent years from its high in 2006 for the more mass-produced and popular British brands and models such as Triumphs and BSAs.
The bigger money now(as always) especially seems to be in the more rare British marques such as in Vincents, Brough Superiors and the like, and of which the recent economic downturn doesn't seem to have affected the pricing in that market.
(...in other words, the High Rollers out there are still continuing to pay ever bigger money for the rarer motorcycles to add to their collection)
