They are on there face book page no details but 5 new bikes or so they say. Remodeled america and speedy and a america LT or touring. A tiger SE. 2 new tigers which we knew but the commander is a fatboy looking thing and the commander LT which is a cross between new and old Thunderbird with windshield and bags. To me Im not impressed

apon closer look one of the major turn offs to me on the bird was the exhaust and the new bike seems to fix that

Got a link to the new bikes?
I saw the commander. The bike looks good and yes +100% on the newly designed exhaust. Nice and tucked in!

The more I see, as the years pass, the MORE I'm SOOO... GLAD I got what I got, when I got it.

A 1200 could possibly change my mind, but only IF it would fit in my '05 frame!

That T-brd has 92HP and 110 lbs. of torque. Pretty respectable.

Fun , yes, but who needs it unless you are trying to compensate for other short comings. My SM with a mostly stock 790 is great fun and plenty fast enough to get me in trouble.

I test rode a new leftover 2012 1600 Thunderbird last year. Strong low RPM torque, which you need because the bike is 200 pounds heavier than an America. With the weight penalty the bike didn't feel much quicker than my America with TORs and sprocket change. The 865 engine is strong in the 3000-6500 RPM range instead of down low like the 1600.

The new Thunderbird Commander looks very nice with premium seat, paint details and the 1700 motor.

I kind of like the Thunderbird LT. The wire wheels are cool, I wonder if you can put tubless tires on them like some of the Harleys? They're getting closer to Harleyland but I guess the real Electra glide clones are not coming until a year later. There's nothing there yet that would make me trade my 2010 bird on. I'm taking a wild guess but that LT is probably going to be near the 17-18 grand mark.

Thanks guys!

I did about 120 miles today. At 50 degrees without heated gear, it's a little cool on the Indian.

It has about 750 miles on it now and has had the 500 mile oil change. Bottom line, it is a torque monster. It seems to have torque everywhre, especially at low RPMs. It seems to be impossible to lug the engine. When you get on it, the front end gets a little light and it is MOVING. I can't say enough about the engine, but we all kind of expected it after the reveal in Daytona. It also sounds great. It has a nice growl when accelerating.

The real surprises are the handling and comfort. For an 800+ pound machine it feels much lighter. The handling is VERY good. I was finally able to drag both floorboards last week. There is a lot of ground clearance before you touch down, and it is also very quick in and out of turns.

The suspension is very nice. You glide over rough spots in the road and there are no jarring, teeth-rattling hits.

Even more of a surprise is the stock leather seat. I have done a few 2 to 3 hour rides without stopping and there is no discomfort and in fact it is quite comfy.

The thing is a rolling work of art. It is beautifully made with a high attention to detail of fit and finish. It gets a lot of attention at stop lights and gas pumps. You guys on Speedies and Americas know what I mean!

The only beef I had was the height of the windshield. Last night my wife & I took about 1.75 inches off of it. It turned out pretty darn nice for the first time cutting a screen.

I'm very happy with it. If you get a chance to demo one you should. Just be prepared to want to get one.

Hoping to see and fondle the big Indians this weekend along with a ton of other bikes at the IMS in Atlanta
