I'm 52, always loved music but never played an instrument and never thought I could. I started trying to play guitar about 4 years ago, and was instantly hooked. I've taught myself using free lessons I found on the internet. I'm probably just an "advanced beginner" now, but can happily say that I can play stuff that others recognize as actual music! I have 4 guitars now, none of which are high end, but I think they are all nice instruments:
