You are right about this. The thing about luck is it runs out.

There really is no need to use a pressure washer. Just get the bike clean and apply a good polish/wax then it will be easy to keep clean with normal car wash. I like Turtle Wax products myself. Their Ice polish is easy on a bike because it can be used on any surface even clear plastics and flat paint and it does not leave a white residue.
