Yeah, I suppose if you're careful with the thing it would okay to use.
However, I'm reminded of the time Friar John took his bike to one of those self-serve car wash places, and when he was done his bike wouldn't start 'cause his CDI unit had gotten wet underneath the gas tank.
(...and I kidded him about it too)
