This is a first for me. My fuel light keeps coming on just before the bike dies but it's not fuel related. I had a stator let go and replaced it and the reg/rec. I replaced the reg first before I found out the stator was toast. I checked the battery on a meter and it's definitely charging going from 12.6 to 13.6v when revved. I haven't been able to test ride it properly as the fuel light still came on today making me paranoid and head for home. Is it possible the battery life was just a little low as it sat for a few days?
It's weird though because I never had this happen in 4 years.

Those new fangled EFI bikes have a low fuel light in lieu of a petcock with reserve capabilities

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Well, well, well!

I'm glad I have the one that allows me a second chance incase I'm not paying attention.

Now, BACK TO THE ORIGINAL TOPIC.

when you are really not paying attention and leave it on reserve from the previous ride, thats when the fun starts

Sorry guys I didn't realise earlier bikes didn't have a fuel light. It's the first (and last) efi bike I'll ever own!
Charged up the battery n hoping to test ride tomorrow.

Your EFI bike needs 12.6v static just to fire the EFI. I suggest that you have the battery load tested, and check the voltage across the terminals when the bike is running.
