The Harbor Freight Table type motorcycle lift is on sale again for $299. I have one and love it. The clamp for the front wheel kind of sucks but is easily remedied. You need the coupon to get it for $299.

In my case the question is, where do I store it? The bike jack is already in the way. Worse, if I got one I'd have to quit razzing the wife over her space hogging purchases.

mine doesn't really take any extra space, when not in use my BMW is parked on it.

#1 My S-80 Volvo is parked over mine at the moment as well, not exactly a high ground clearance car either.

good to know that a car can park over it, might make it even easier to buy one now

I should add that I removed the front tire stanchion and use an eye bolt threaded in where the tank bolts in front of the seat to stabilise the bike with my overhead hoist when the bike is on the lift. Removing the bracket gives me just enough (1/2 in.) clearance to park my car over the lift. I wouldn't try it with three extra passengers aboard though.

My car lives under a carport/leanto, the two bikes have a sealed double garage to themselves...well a couple of push bikes live there too but they hardly count.

I have 4 garage bays: One bay for a vintage Corvette; One bay for 3 motorcycles and; Two bays for a woodshop. All other vehicles must sit out in the weather. Like most things in life you have to prioritize!

I have the Direct Lift brand it has a foot pedal for the air to raise it up and down. Much easier than leaning over a bike or laying on the floor working on one. I have the wheel clamp and a screw jack for the table as well.

I almost bought one in December when it was on sale for $429. Went by Harbor Freight a couple days ago to pick up an item for a motorcycle trailer I'm building and low and behold the lift was marked down to $299. Couldn't resist at that price. As stated in an earlier post, the wheel chock isn't much so I bought an extra accessory plate for my trailer's Condor wheel chock so I can move it between the lift and trailer easily.

I went to get one when they were on sale for $299.00, but I was a day late for the sale. I'll wait till they go back on sale for that price. Right now its $429.00, too much for me. Besides the front wheel chock are there any other problems anyone has noticed with it?

Twice I have gone to Harbor Freight and asked when an item would go on sale, they punched some numbers in their remote control and said they could give me the sale price today. Once was for an over $200 H/V band saw.

Gmike. I think I will give that a try and see if they bite. Did you talk to a manager or any store clerk?

It was just somebody trotting the aisles. It might be they saw they had a lot in stock but it happened both times I asked.

You couldn't even buy the steel for $329, let alone the hydraulics, fit up time, misc. parts and welding.

Hey guys, go to the store and pick up a Cycle or Rider magazine. Flip to the back and there is usually a two page spread of Harbor Freight coupons. The lift table is always on it and is listed for $299. btw, after getting the table, I also bought one of the small chocks for $29 and fitted it to the table. It's a lot more secure than the normal fitting.

Thanks for the tip Dragger. The $299 coupon in the magazine is even good all the way till May. You saved me some money.
