Well guys it seems that the cdi gremlim has bit me! My Speedy is a 2003 with 42,000 miles on it and I ride in the heat and rain a lot so I was not caught to off guard by this. I did all the usual checks, vent tube, hidden carb filter, swapped coils and plug wires around and changed the plugs. However I still continue to get an intermittent case where I drop the left cylinder and it is always the left cylinder. I can go a few hundred miles or 50 it cuts out and then kicks back in usually. After reading the sticky about the Procom CDI in the performance section I'm a bit nervous about buying one. I noticed that there haven't been any recent posts but it seems most haven't been overly happy with them. Has Procom fixed the issues that people had early on with them or should I just bite the bullet and get a new Gil from the stealership?
