2003 America
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but it should be added to the Tech Vault.
I came across what appears to be a misprint in the Haynes manual(4364) years 01-05.
Chapter 5, page 1 states Fork Oil capacity for Bonnie,T100, America and Speedmaster is 484cc.
The 2002 Triumph manual, on page 11.11 lists the capacity for the Bonnie,T100 at 484cc. But lists the capacity for the America/Speedmaster at 548cc.
As Murphy's law would have it I followed the Haynes manual and realized something is not correct. As I now have 484cc in the America and need to adjust the volume what is the best way to measure the fluid with the forks on the bike as I don't want to remove them a second time. I believe the springs, spacer have to be removed to get a proper reading.
I'm running Progressive springs, stock length with a mixture on 10/15 oil.
I've attached the link below from kansasbob from the vault. It also states 484cc
