I blocked it off w/a freeze plug. It made the exhaust sound a deeper pitch but otherwise the same power.
What these tubes are good for is equalizing exhaust backpressure between the two sides.
If you run an exhaust w/o much backpressure (I use 16" open shorty mufflers) there is really nothing for the pipe to do.
Not enough backpressure to begin with. The race cars that use it are the ones with longer exhaust runs that, even if they are open race pipes,
have some backpressure do to their length.
