Hey Matt, I disabled mine and it made a distinct British twin pop pop pop pop sound in a nice staccato rap, but I did lose a noticeable amount of low end torque.
So, pursuant to the sage advice of a good friend and Triumph guru near me, I enabled the crossover.
And look at it this way, if some vindictive punk tries to cram a potato, rutabaga, beet or some other Eastern Block nation's state vegetable down in your exhaust pipe, you have a crossover tube to alleviate the pressure. Now if they stop up BOTH tubes, well, I really should turn off the expresso maker and try to go to bed.
