Thing with Pandora is you choose an artist, then they choose for you based on that first choice. So say a Tim Buckley choice. You might hear 'Buzzin Fly' then you'll hear 'Needle and the Damage done. Yes
the Neil Young back when he could enunciate.
You will hear more Tim Buckley too. That selection would be labeled "Tim Buckley Radio". Which, per above, is a misnomer.
Or say you choose to create a new station, Say LaVern Baker. You'll hear 'I Waited Too Long' then the next song might be Solomon Burke singing 'If You Need Me'.
Or create a Billy Eckstine radio station, where they'll play 'Jazz Round Midnight' then the next song might be Nat King Cole's 'The Very Thought of You'
Once you get your head around the FACT that they use your choice as their basis for choosing songs/artist for you, you'll come to appreciate the simplicity of it and how that weighs vis-a-vis hearing only the Artist you really want to listen to.
Damn, Little Esther's 'Turn the Lamp Down Low' is in que.

gotta go...
