Well taken Thanassis.

Sometimes this board reminds of the old story of 4-5 blindfolded Triumph twin riders all describing an elephant. Depending upon the body part standing next to, they verbally describe something completely different. Then sometimes I marvel at a bunch of connected, yet disconnected folks talking about bike stuff, life stuff via the keyboard. I'm old school enough to think all these forms of communication we have are secondary to sitting face-to-face sharing stories, actually talking to each other. I wonder if we as human beans have sorted out how to best use this electronic medium? Lots of potential for misinterpretation, misrepresentation, overstating, understating. heck my own keyboard has "U's" stuck all over it

I also have memories of first Robert, then Uncle Phil, then my neighbour the good Friar & the moderators struggle with how to best deal with the banter that would pop up. And therein lies the nugget.

Sure ba.com is a lot different today than before. In my mind it's always been about the people. We've all met some great people, some even Canadian, first via this electronic place, then later at a rally somewhere. I think the administrator philosophy has been to avoid flaming each other into oblivion, or running off valuable members.

Oops, lunch hour over. I defer to mert, Chy, Jim, Pat, Benny, Ade. All much smarter than me
