Personally, I found the board has become very "clique-y". If you're in the right crowd, you get all kinds of support and shout outs. If not, well then you're on your own in trying to get decent answers or help. I used to really try and contribute what I could here, but it seems things have changed. So now, I just pop in occasionally.
A sense of community seems to have been lost, not sure why.

clique-y? How about the clique that always starts political threads? Where it not for the clique that throttles them back this board would be like most boards: mean nasty and rampant with hate and bigotry. No? Well take a look at other boards where you will read post that border on malevolence.
Yeah, at times we are heavy handed. Other times not so much. Contrary to popular opinion we do not have a zero tolerance policy. We do but in practise this is simply not so. Zero tolerance is brainless. Oops. Hopefully we can agree on that. Want to see zero tolerance in practise? Then visit http://www.motorcycleforum.com/ Only problem is you have to participate there to see it. That site will hammer you without a care. That site will BAN you for the smallest violation.
Y'all are bitchin about the lounge. Surprise! For that is exactly the nature of the Florida room. Yet just like family get togethers, take the politics outside will ya (PM's)? Sure, Uncle Joe will start it up inside, and at times extinguish it too.
Back on topic regarding moderating this board, do we shoot for encyclopedic? A cold barren wasteland with only facts being regurgitated? Or do we aim for congeniality? Riding with friends. Having a disagreement occasionally without the whole world devolving into a profane scene? Self control is paramount. Without it the hammer falls.
