I have been messing around with using some of that auto door trim (chrome) to finish the seams on the tank and the tips of the fenders, it looks ok but not good enough, does anyone know of alternatives out there that might be avaialable for our bikes, i have looked everywhere i can and can't find much out there.

No,no,no.. ya got it all wrong. I meant steal his bike. Dismantle it, sell it on ebay. And with the money do whatever ya like, with his "missing" there wouldn't be anything to "copy cat".
But don't tell nobody, I only give my master evil genius plans to certain people.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

What's going on, Mike... why doesn't it look right? The only stuff I've worked with is the same as what you're using, 'cept mine is gold. Otherwise there is some 1/8" self adhesive trim that doesn't wrap around like the door trim, but just sits there. I used it for edging on my lowers. Other than that, there's always pinstriping.
Live to love, love to live.

problem for me is the finishing of the edges, i am not going all the way around the fender like yours, instead just the tip and the tail end of the fender, it does not look horrible just not "finished" Around the tank seam went fine looks fine.
