It will soon be that time of the year (22 Sep), Oyster Run 2013, Anacortes, WA. If the weather is good, I will be going. Is anyone else planning on going ? Steve

I might, but I am on call for work. If so, it would be a run up in the morning, which gets me there about 1PM and back to Portland, that evening.
All I-5, so it will depend on what's happening.

If the weather is good, I'll take the ferry route on the way up. It's a nice ride. I'll probably take I-5 and 405 back home.
I should get there early afternoon as well. I'll wander around and have a look see. Probably leave before 4 pm. I want to try and get out of there before the horde leaves. It was pretty slow getting out of Anacortes last year.
And yes, I'll check my battery terminals the day before !! Although, that was a 5 y.o battery and I had trouble after that with it holding a charge.

Fingers crossed,we ll be there. however we re still waiting for a certain wee Princess to make an appearance,already 4 days late ,so we ll see .

Forecast looks promising Forecast for Anacortes, WA on Sept. 22. Hopefully it will get even better as we get closer. I'm anxious to show off my new seat that I bought from a fellow BA.com member (amglo). Spent a couple of hours on it yesterday. Hopefully my new fender rack from Fast Eddy will get here in time as well. And it looks like my H-D riding neighbor might ride up with me. He's never been to the Oyster Run. Hope the Princess makes an appearance soon Gordie !! Steve

Steve and Gordie, If you head to Anacortes let me know. Text me (971-235-7658) I may be making up my mind late Saturday night. I'm on call for work, it will depend on whether I have to go in or not. If not I can return calls from anywhere.

No worries. I'm also holding out, based on the latest forecast. It does not look promising. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I think I am going...but I will be riding my Harley..I got one to use up here (Bellingham)...temp work transfer...and I will admit I like riding my Speedmaster more than the Harley

Forecast is looking worse and worser for tomorrow. I really wanted to show off my new seat and fender rack too.  Unless the system blows through over night, I will most likely bail. It's one thing to be caught out in the rain, it's another thing (for me at least) to knowingly ride in the rain. If you guys go, I hope it's a great time nonetheless. Steve PS: Congrats Gordy on the wee one !!  PPS: Of course, watch it be an absolutely beautiful day in Anacortes tomorrow!!
