Was out on a ride today and stopped at a Harley Dealer (happened to be open on a Sunday). The primary reason was for a convenience break but I was curious about the new 2014 bikes. Gotta tell you guys and gals the 2014 Road King is a real piece of work. The Harley folks have really stepped up the plate and made some amazing upgrades to the bikes. Can't say I would like to have one but I was impressed with the changes.

What kind of upgrades? Do they run without modifications? Reliably? Just trying to jerk the Hardley Chain.

The Road King starts at $18,249. For those scoring at home that's about a grand more than a R3T, and cheaper than a Trophy. Not that I'll be out buying one any time soon.

The R3T is kinda like an ugly girl though. Great to ride around but sometimes you don't want your friends to see you on it. Its subjective, I know, but its an ugly bike!
That new Road King is gorgeous. The liquid cooled CVO is fabulous but its 30 grand.

For what they're askin' for these H-Ds, I think I'd take a chance on one of the new Indians...and by the word "chance", NOT that I think Indian won't make it to profitability, but that these new Indians are first year models and thus COULD but hopefully won't have any "teething-problems".
(...AND seein' as how the chances of the new Nortons actually making it to market seem dimmer every day)

Yeah, I saw one, it looked just like all the other eighty five gazzillion Harleys with a extra four hundred pounds of farkles.

That 23,244 is a "starting" price.
Under the "Compare Motorcycles" they only have Harleys! What's with that? Why no Indian Chieftain and Rocket 3 Tourer? 
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

The Chieftain really isn't out yet so I can see that being missing. The R3 Touring I don't think has a fairing, cruise, lowers, stereo, ABS. I may be wrong on some of the items that most touring bikes come standard with like the CVO, Ultra, Indian Chieftain, Victory Vision, Victory Cross Country etc.
I don't really consider that Triumph has a touring class bike. Its a heavy bagger.
