OK, I'm now ponderin' on this- would not a 50 or 60 watt lamp put out the same lumens regardless of the manufacturer? I have a 15.00 Sylvania lamp with the stock lens and it just really sucks at night. Can't see much at all, so I just squint and follow the lines. A lamp is somewhat "dumb", it just makes a fixed amount of light. That said, would not a substandard beam be a function of the cut of the lens and it's inability to concentrate the light where it's needed?
I haven't ruled out the sealed beam retrofit thing.
I just wanna see down the road like a light should allow me to do. I was just wonderin' am I the only one. Like I'm wonderin' what these 12 qts. of salsa I just canned taste like.
Anyway, I'm open to suggestions, experiences*, on infinitum.
* please limit experiences to headlights just this one time
