I would like to request everyone to chime in here and give all the particular details of the base level performance mods that have been effected on their bikes.....

Please include what year/ BA/speedmaster/790 or 863 if Speedmaster/ What brand of performance pipes installed or if just stock drilled/ Airbox mod...detail whether just snorkel removed or snorkel removed and bottom drilled and of course if major airbox mod/ Freak. What size main jet/pilot jet installed/ ..indicate if you have stock needles or thruxton and shimmed or not and the quantity/ slide drilled for throttle response et al.....and elevation of your home location.

I figure statistically there has to be a pretty close average of which way to go as far as sperementing with a given 790 or 863 bike and particular pipe as far as actually doing some math and establishing a mean base line. If your bike has stock plugs and wires/coils and or upgrades please indicate.

If your bike has more major mods like big bore go ahead and include that as well.

My curiousity is piqued as to what the average numbers will be for each category of pipe/mod/jet/airbox combo or

It will work best if as many of us as possible participate.

As of now my 790 04 Speedmaster has T-bike pipes/snorkel only removed/ Uni installed airbox is otherwise stock/ mains and pilots are still stock and idle mixture screws are out 3 1/4 turns. altitude is about 2400 feet above sea level. I have had the pipes on for only a few weeks and I have only some minor burbling on decel. The bike has yet to be really tested although to my determination accelelration is good currently throughout the range. I have not yet had the bike over 75 miles an hour so it is to a degree untested on the top end

4/7/06 PM. I finished installing 130 mains today and left the pilots at 42.

I warmed the bike up and took her for a 20 minute spin. I worked it harder today than ever before. Acceleration was crisp and progressive with no flat spots at all from zero to 85 miles an hour. I backed off at that point but I could tell I could have kept on pushing.

130 mains
42 pilots
desnorked
Uni in
3 1/4 turns out
Thunderbike pipes
Virtually ..nearly zero popping on decel
I am very happy.

I am comfortable taking the carbs off and messing around with them. I would never have attempted all this without this forum and all the help I have received

to early to tell about performance but seems very cold blooded...bike has been down for paint since the mods. so I've only put maybe 6 miles on it...seems to have a slight flat spot...but again to early to tell.

Hey Kevin, I think there may have been a similar thread in the past, so maybe do a search and you'll find even more results.
In the meantime....

'02 BA (so 790...)
Epcos W/baffles
Freak
160 mains but going to try some 155s here soon.
stock 42 pilots, but have some 45s I'm gonna try also.
TBS needles, no shims (helped flat spot).
Drilled out slides.
Elevation is about 6 feet or so,
Runs pretty well, but I need to check my plugs. I'm at about 3.5 turns out on the screws, hance my consideration of the 45 pilots. Once I an check my plugs, I'll think about trying my new jets.

I am sure one may be in the archives somewhere but I could not find it.

Dinqua's site has some old data but not many contributors.

If people have an interest in this it will be great. If not ...well I am certainly not twisting any arms.

On many occasions members do offer their setups but I have not seen it consolidated in a single comprehensive thread. It may be there somewhere I just have not found it yet.
