Based on a search could not find any discussion on the subject product. Was considering an open face Bell 500 type shell for the retro look, but really do prefer a full face - BTW, so does my wife and five little ones. Then came across this. I think this helmet with aviator goggles is for me. Plus, who doesn't want to look like Major Tom? Anybody have one of these? Biltwell Gringo

Definately Major Tom. And, you could make yourself a shiny suit out of tinfoil and scare the neighbors!

Without a faceplate I would worry about the amount of air coming in (and leaving through the neck).
It does look excellent though.

Yes, no fretting over my Halloween costume this year. And the finishing touch would be the mirror bubble face shield:

Speaking of that issue. Inspired by the Biltwell, I took the face shield off my Scorpion EXO 400 today and rode about 30 miles at speeds up to 65 mph. Furthermore, I had taken my windshield off a couple weeks ago so was getting the max air flow. Whether I get the new helmet or not, I think this is how I will roll, at least during summer. I like all the air flow without the face shield on the full face helmet. And with the scorpion I did not notice air flow through the neck.
So no, I don't think the extra air flow will be a problem if it is similar to how the Scorpion performs.

I think those are really cool looking. I was looking for a retro full face. I just bought my Nolan so maybe in five years I'll pick up one of these.

I had a couple of Shoei's in 1980 that looked a lot like that. Heavy. Rotten visibility.

I did notice the protruding chin in a couple photos. In my case, however, I think I will be OK. I have microcephaly - not really, but do wear a XS helmet. In fact, one of mine is a youth size large. Went that route to have a smaller shell size. So think my little melon will not be so long as to protrude underneath.
As for the comments on the weight and visibility, I don't expect weight to be an issue as the helmet is made with modern materials. The perifery I think will be OK for visiblilty, but might be a bit resrictive in the lower field. As it is, I can't see my instrument lights without looking down when I have my Scorpion full face on, so am already a bit restricted.

Placed the order for the helmet. Should arrive next Tuesday. Also ordered a pair of goggles: Looking forward to putting it all together.

Here it is. Really like the style and the helmet is several ounces lighter than my Scorpion. Very happy so far.

How do you find the fit? They've got the small sizes coming into Aus in the next week or so.
I was going to order the titanium, then decided to play it safe and pre ordered a gloss black one, but now Ive seen yours I like the titanium again haha?!?

According to the fit chart for these, it called for a size small for me. I read a review before ordering that said they tend to run a little large. On that review I decided to order a XS. It turns out that I could have probably gotten by with the small after all! The fit initially with the XS was a little too snug in a couple places. I have worked to compress the padding and it seems to fit well now. I usually wear a skull cap to absorb sweat, but have not with the Biltwell due to the snug fit.
Bottom line is I would go with the size chart on their webpage and you should be good.
As for the color, I did also consider the gloss black, but settled on the titanium as I wanted the helmet to stand out just a little bit more over black.
I am sure you will like it, it is lightweight and the shell is a smaller profile than most full face helmets. Good luck!

Cheers Carl. The size chart actually says large so between that, and me normally wearing a small I'll split the difference and stick with the medium.
You dont seem to suffer from the sticky chin out thing either, good news!!!
