Hi all,
Yesterday while out on the bike I noticed my clutch cable was frayed. Luckily I was able to get how without it breaking. I took it off and there was only 3 strands holding it together so at least I didn't get stranded somewhere.
The problem is the local dealer does not have one in stock. It looks like we finally have some nice weather in store for us and I don't want to have to wait to long to have another one delivered. Any suggestions? Anyone know who delivers fast? Any other bike cable that may work (at least until I can get one ordered)?

If I recall one of the Honda cables will work. Take it with you to a dealer and see if they have something to match up, Additionally check with one of our vendors that support us. Fast Eddy, New Bonneville Bellacorse

If you go into the Vault and look in the thread "Parts cross reference," the third post lists some Honda clutch cables that will fit. I'd link it, but not sure how to do that on this mobile device. But, if you have a local Honda dealer, try them. Good luck, Will

Hard to believe. Most everything can be had in two days or less nowadays.

nah, everything can be found and paid for in less than an hour, but getting the banks to clear an electronic transaction while they skim some extra interest waiting for processing that transaction always adds a week to expedited ordering and shipping!!!!F' banks!

At the lever. I had recently adjusted it 2 or 3 times so I may have snapped a strand or two and started the process. I have also had the need recently for some aggressive riding (on the back roads). I have to learn to take it easy on the clutch lever. (and the throttle )

The problem is that communication wise the world has become a very small place. Look at this forum; we talk to people from all over the world on a daily basis. However, the transfer of goods still requires rather slow transport.
I am in Canada. I order the cable from a company in England. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cable was manufactured in Asia somewhere and shipped direct.
Lets hope their delivery estimate is on the pessimistic side.

Ya, this year has sucked for riding. Season started late and then we seemed to get 2 or 3 days of rain for every nice day. I'd love to move south but I have gotten myself suck in a very specific profession and there is not really any where I can move to.

Just heard from wemoto.com where I ordered my clutch cable. It has been shipped to, get this, Ottawa, ON K1V --- Australia Hopefully someone realizes that there is no Ottawa nor an Ontario in Australia or at least that the postal codes for Australia are only 4 and not 6 digits. But with the way my luck is going they will just ignore the extra two digits and send it to Australia.

I've just had that experience myself.
About three months ago I shipped a fuel filter to a dude in Australia. When he inquired after about three weeks, I checked, and it had gone to South America. I had to file some kind of tracking form, and they (U.S.P.S.) had 21 days to try to find it. I thought for sure that when some South American postal person saw it was addressed to Australia, and was in S.A., he would say "This is mine" and open the box, HOPING for something better.
I KNEW it was lost. But nope, the fellow in Australia left positive feedback, and said he got it.
I NEVER did get any follow-up from U.S.P.S.
Best of luck to ya!
And you may see me tonight

Update:
Apparently I got through to them before they shipped, even though I was replying to the email that informed me that it had been shipped, and correct the error.
