I had to replace the wiring harness on my 02 America because of a short. Didn’t realize that when I put the bike on the motorcycle jack to do the work, that it caught and bent about a ¼ of an inch on the top of oil filter. Needless to say when it bent small amount at the top of the filter it made a small crack in it. Was riding yesterday and noticed that my rear brakes weren’t working. Stopped with the front breaks and after checking the bike over realized that oil from the small crack in the filter had sprayed out over the back of the bike and I had oil on my pads and brake rotor. The bike is fixed and the oil filter replaced. Just a warning to make sure if you use a motorcycle jack on your bike to watch out for the oil filter…
