They've been fooling around with the road for weeks. I left early this morning to go get my monthly blood test and the north side of the road had a long pile of gravely stuff half the road wide. When I got back around noon, the pile was half as high and moved to the other side. They finished leveling it out and an hour later, a super-cell storm came through dumping rain and hail so hard I could barely see the truck just outside the window. When it was through, the road was under water. I could see the edge of my front yard and the edge of the neighbors field with a river in between. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to see if there is anything left of all their weeks of work.
