hello all you electronic gurus. this ones for you. while waiting for my ignitor to come back from triumph twin power i became impatient and tried my luck with a procom. i've read mixed things on the procom but the general consensus is they work. i couldn't get a spark out of it or the second one i ended up exchanging for. since my original worked fine, and the bike just sat, it would all point to the ignitor but what are the chances of two brand new ones not working.

below are my notes. let me know what you think. am i missing something?



NO SPARK DIAGNOSIS

BIKE FIRED RIGHT UP ON ORIGINAL IGNITOR
NOW ON SECOND BRAND NEW PROCOM IGNITOR

BIKE TURNS OVER WITH FULL POWER BUT DOES NOT START SO I ASSUME THE CLUTCH SWITCH, SIDE STAND SWITCH, STARTER RELAY, AND IGNITION SWITCH, ARE GOOD

BRAND NEW NOLOGY COILS, MAGNECOR WIRES, PLUGS, PICK-UP COIL

ALL FUSES ARE GOOD

994 BIG BORE WITH FCR CARBS, STAGE 1 HEAD WORK, 813 SHIM OVER BUCKET CAMS, CARILLO RODS, WHITE MAIN BEARINGS, BOMBER EXHAUST

COILS:
LEFT AND RIGHT BOTH
PRIMARY .6 OHMS
SECONDARY 8.3K OHMS
SECONDARY W/ CABLE 10.2K OHMS
CABLES 1.9K OHMS

ALL PASS TEST

TESTED FOR SPARK WITH GROUNDED WIRE AT SECONDARY SIDE ON LEFT AND RIGHT AND THERE WAS SPARK ONCE ON EACH! BUT KEPT TESTING AND IT STOPPED… HMMM

COLD
592 OHMS
OK RANGE IS 504-616 OHMS

IGNITER:

I HAVE EXTENDED MY WIRING HARNESS TO IGNITOR BY ABOUT A FOOT TO RELOCATE UNDER MY SEAT WITH THE SAME 18 GAUGE WIRE, ALL PROPERLY SOLDERED/HEAT SHRINKED
DOUBLE CHECKED CONTINUITY ON ALL WIRES BEFORE THE SPLICED WIRES AND AT CONNECTOR, ALL GOOD

CONTINUITY ON:
WHITE/BLUE AT PICK UP COIL CONNECTOR IS GOOD
PINK/BLACK AT PICK UP COIL CONNECTOR IS GOOD
GROUND PIN 1 BLACK IS GOOD
GROUND PIN 10 BLACK/WHITE IS GOOD
YELLOW/BLACK AT NEGATIVE RIGHT COIL IS GOOD AND IS HOT AT IGNITER CONNECTOR
YELLOW/PINK AT NEGATIVE LEFT COIL IS GOOD AND IS HOT AT IGNITER CONNECTOR
PINK AT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR CONNECTOR IS GOOD
GREEN/YELLOW AT TPS CONNECTOR IS GOOD
