Wait, Mac! Gotta say I've never thought of McQueen, Paul Newman and Clark Gable as "Ivy League" or "Preppy". George H. W. Bush, Cary Grant and the Kennedy boys, yes of course, but not the formerly listed guys.

McQueen was more the "sullen loner", Newman was more "Blue Collar", and Gable was presented as the epitome of American masculinity in the first half of the 20th Century.

Nope, definitely not "Preppy" in their cases.
