I am suspicious that the lowers would not help that much with the summer screens. I think the darned thing just lifts the airflow over the screen and points it at your nose.

You can try the arm-over-chest trick I described above or try borrowing a pair of lowers - they're not that hard to install and remove. If you're going to georgia you could try mine.
