ok let me start short story this bike arrived to my place somtime after Easter this year and looked almost like on this picture but don't picture fool you it was in worse condition than you think ,here we got few pics of this bike when I started stripping it down notice dent in the fuel tank paint flaking on valve cover and all over the angine (this issue want to address this winter as main goal was to have it on the road in 3 months) have a look at cylinder head, oil bolts and lines are in slightly different position (this bike was registered in april 2001) wheels were very rusty with knoby tyres and I thought about finding better solution finally went ahead with 1994 Honda CBR600 wheels and front forks both wheels are 17 inch which gives massive choice of tyres ,because it was tight budget built I went with very good quality not so expencive continentals ContiMotion front end is direct swap as forks are 41mm and honda spacer and speedo drive is used without issue rear end need sme machinning done : new spacers, bearings to accomodate triumph spindle ,chain carier need some skimming ...but managed to find someone local to do those jobs for me when got wheels back from powdercoating and tyres were fitted assembly went ahead at the beinning of buildig this bike gave all body part for spraying knowing that this going to take some time and as the bike is made mostly from genuine ebay parts they were not color matched few more things left to finish but is ready to ride now !!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3ppySF3WwA&feature=c4-overview&list=UUj7DCH5iBqIC2IGXbAMdMWA

Gotta say, very nice work bringing this bike back from the dead. It's a shame to see that some people will let a bike go to the point of being junk. What did you use for the rear sets and which handlebar is that?

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, however it's having the opposite effect on me. The more I look at that front fender the less I like it covering the side view of the front wheel. I think a low-profile, open side gloss-black minimalist fender would better fit the lines & mission of the bike.

Now THAT fender's a lot better. Has smoother lines. The other one was too angular and looked like it came off a bike with a number rather than a name, i.e. Honda CRK1100DBZ. Bikes with a NAME are better than a string of impersonal characters. Allow me an anecdotal dialogue:
"Hey man, what kinda bike you ride?" "I got an '11 Honda CRKX1100DBZ XR" "OK. I don't like you." "What about you, home skillit?" "Well I got an '03 America." "Hey, let's go up to Yasger's farm, they gotta band playin'.ya wanna?" "Hey, we'll catch ya later keypad rider."

You've done a really nice job on her Greg, very reminisent of the caff racers and specials I grew up with before some would say the enlightening age of `Easy Rider' and todays crop of customs, keep it up and long live differing styles around our bikes. Horse

Nice job and i like the "floating" front mudguard too. I like the wheels too. Did you intentionally put the front wheel on "backwards" as the spokes go the opposite direction compared to the rear. Not that it amounts to much it just looks different.

Nice touches here, Grzegorz! Now didn't I tell ya in Poland that your 200 2 BA would look even better with those triple-trees(yokes) painted black too, dude?!!! (...and now all ya need is a set of those black Hagon covered shocks on that beautiful baby o' yours and you'll be done!)

Btw Grzegorz, I also have that very same Drag Specialties tachometer attached to my handlebars and with the Speedy's risers like you have there. However, I've found there's sufficient room between the top of tank console and the handlebars to attached that tach so that its bracket sits "upside-down" and thus sits lower and below the line of the handlebars and so that it doesn't block your line-of-sight to the speedometer.
You might try experimenting with this and seeing if you'd end up liking this arrangement better, also.

Well then Greg ol' boy, second of all, then why the hell did you post THAT video about your 2002 Bonnie America in THIS thread of yours???????????????
(...and third of all dude, I gotta ask: Does this little ribbing I've always given to you about the model year of your BA REALLY piss you off or have you just been fakin' this whole pissed-off act of yours here all this time?...OR, is this just some kinda "Polish Thing" of which I'm too dense and much too American to understand??????????)

How did you black the motor cases?

ZeroRust offers a semi-gloss Black that dries extremely hard and so far has tolerated (10,000 miles) engine heat well with no degradation. Incidentally, it's the closest match to Triumph s Black Powdercoat, I have found so far, as well.
