An observation that seems to hold for at least those I know.
People who go for a small humble wedding seem to have longer lasting marriages. While people who have a huge blow out tend to get divorced rather quickly. I wonder what the correlation is? Nearly every one I know who had a big wedding are divorced and nearly all those who had a small intimate wedding are still married after 14 or 15, years.
