I imagine "accessibility" is a big part of motorpatrol units. People are more likely to start up conversations, same as bicycle patrols or plain old walking. Same as when I'm on the Triumph versus in the pickup. I have yet to have anyone walk up to my 2000 GMC extra cab at the gas pumps and say "I used to have one of those, or "When did they start making those again?", or "What year is that?".

I bet talking to kids is a high point of the day.
