Looking for someone that might have made a template of the bottom triple in order to cover it up. It has to be the worse looking place on this bike....will use the two bolt holes to hold it up or something like that. Anyone?

Yeah. That really is one ugly part of the bike. I had to look at my wife's Vulcan to see what Kawasaki puts on theirs. It's not much better, but at least the nuts are countersunk into it so you don't see them. Someone probably makes or has fabricated a cover.

Of course, about the only folks who see it are us owners who are under, over and everywhere on the bike....and when we're riding, we can't see it anyway...

I have seen powdercoat applied that looks like Nickel plating? Even reflects light, sort of.

I acquired a chrome cover for mine which spruced it up a lot.

I took mine off, used a stationary belt sander to smooth it out, and painted it black

I had mine chromes and it looks fantastic.
Ive also sent a set out for powder and thats a nice item as well. I had sold it to John after Karen decided she didn't want it.
I had the chrome cover too... I think I sold that to Keith. Looks better than stock for sure but not as good as a nice chrome one.

well i am thinkin about getting them powder coated but not until next year, no time now, when i do take them off though i will build a bottom for them so they look solid with resessed nuts and bolts so you won;t see them, it really is one of the parts of the bike i really dislike.

I have the cover you are looking for on my bike, might even have the template still in the garage. Fastens with the fork shroud bolts. I'll look for it this weekend.

Thanks Moe, I have been corresponding with Free Spirits about them developing a 2 into one or both exhausts down one side for our Spdy s and Americas for awhile. If any member craves a aesthetic looking and viable system such as this, consider co-signing my plea to them with a inquiry. Just register and click on contact and state your case. Free Spirits will write you back immediately.
