Today was supposed to be the best day of the weekend for riding (80 degrees and partly cloudy). Moral of the story is a tank later and about 150 miles from the house (over in West Virginia) the clouds bunch up and the bottom drops out. Turn around and head back towards civilization to try and find some shelter but by the time I get there I'm 100% soaked to the bone. Stop and top the tank off and head back on towards to the house figuring I'll ride out of the rain and be dry before I get home. No such luck, it poured all the way home. When I finally got home I stripped off all the soaking wet clothes and hit the shower. After about 30 minutes in a hot shower (I think I partially recovered from the hypothermia) went outside and checked on Elvira. Poor girl looked at me like I was a POS for riding her in the pouring down rain. She is going to need an every square inch, every nut and bolt cleaning/polishing. Damn stupid weatherman!!!
