I just installed my Heel/Toe Shifter on my 05 TBA and realized that the spacing on this shifter is so SMALL I can't fit my size 10 between the front and the back!!! I thought your foot was supposed to rest on the floor board? With this shifter It Can't! anyone else had this problem? Any fixes for it?

I've heard that exact same complaint before and I'm pretty sure they mentioned size 10 too!! Man my 13's would never fit....

IM, I think the point of the heel/toe shifter is that you always push down to shift up or down, not so you can put your whole foot in the space between the two levers. Vegas

The above is correct. Shift up with your heel and down with your toe. When not shifting you can put your foot on the floor board under the heel toe shifter.

It isn't really an issue with the pegs and no boards. Sure, you don't have as much room to move your left foot around on the peg, but at least you can get your foot on something.
I had to make myself learn to use it, but now wouldn't trade for it. I used to really stomp on it to upshift, but learned it only takes the lightest touch to click it up a gear. Can't remember the last time I "pulled" up the front to upshift.
Wonder if any other manufacturer's heel-toe shifter would fit our bikes, or anything aftermarket (Hello, Brent?) that might have a longer lever, therefore allowing more room for those who have floorboards to get their feet down.

Allways push down on the shifter so as not to scuff the toes of your $200 boots

Uh guys? Tom stated that he has floorboards, not pegs. Tom, I run size 11 boots, have floorboards, and I've been on a few of these with the heel/toe shifters and I've hated every one of them... Evan, good one!

That's $250 boots. My Cruiserworks boots weren't cheap.
Good boots though, waterproof and comfortable.

Do the floorboards on the Rocket fit our bikes? Are they cheaper? I think they're made by another company rather than Triumph....... Brent?

Isn't a scuffed left boot the telltale sign of a rider?

You can modify the heel/toe shifter to give you room on the floor board for your foot. I have found that it works equally as well with the boards or pegs. I posted a photo. If you need info, contact me at larryshep@alltel.net

I have floorboards on mine and have used the heal toe shifter for about a year now. I also wear a size 10 boot. It took a few rides to get used to it, but like some others, I wouldn’t change it now for anything. Even though my boot doesn’t fit between the pegs, you still have plenty of room to move your foot around on the floorboard. I forget who the member was but he bent the rear part of the shifter towards the bike which straitened it and also shortened the rear shifter peg. He claimed it helped...

I think that's the point - foot won't fit under the shifter and onto the floor board.
