The only bike I had stolen was the second bike (street bike) I'd owned. It was a '71 H1.
The guy that traded it to me for my '64 mustang 289 came back and took it from my fathers carport.
The "silver lining", If there is one, is that the 289 I re-built in high school auto shop had cam bearings improperly installed

(from the shop that serviced the bare block) and didn't last 500 miles.

(probably WHY he stole the bike in the first place)
However, the H1 's top end went due to not being properly serviced when HE re-built it

, and wasn't running (heads, cyl., pistons & pins removed) when he took it.

My dad laughed and told me to "Quit throwing good money after bad", and just go buy another. That's when I got my '74 H1.
Ah, the "Glory Days" of ignorant (incompetent) yutes!

(by the way, The forth H1 I owned was another '71, WHICH I STILL have today!)
