Btw, in my case, both bikes WERE recovered by the police.
The Yamaha was pretty much all intact, but I'll never forget the call I received from the police impound lot after the recovery of the first one...the Honda.
They called and said my bike was available to be picked up at their lot, and so OFF I went with a sense of relief to hear this joyous news.
When I got there, they told me it was out back, and so I RUSHED out there to retrieve my pride and joy, BUT I didn't see it ANYWHERE???!!!
Turns out it was the piece of metal that used hold everything together on it. Yep, just the frame was sittin' there all by its lonesome, alright!
Though I DO have to admit those "lowlife scumbags thievin' dicks" that stole it WERE nice enough to leave the chromed rear brake pedal bolted to it TOO!
(...ya see, there's ALWAYS a "little ray of sunshine" to found in ANY situation IF ya just look hard enough!!!)
