The farm girls I know are not obese. They are usually fit to slightly on the big side. They usually can run , jump, swim, fish, hunt, fight, and put in a hard days work. Then dress up nice for a night on the town.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
