It isn't really an issue with the pegs and no boards. Sure, you don't have as much room to move your left foot around on the peg, but at least you can get your foot on something.

I had to make myself learn to use it, but now wouldn't trade for it. I used to really stomp on it to upshift, but learned it only takes the lightest touch to click it up a gear. Can't remember the last time I "pulled" up the front to upshift.

Wonder if any other manufacturer's heel-toe shifter would fit our bikes, or anything aftermarket (Hello, Brent?) that might have a longer lever, therefore allowing more room for those who have floorboards to get their feet down.
