My unsubstantiated opinion is that the exhaust IS the one item that 99.9% of ALL owners change, even when they don't change anything else.
Triumph could SAVE money by putting fewer baffles with larger holes in the exhaust. Every bike test and comparison includes a few lines about how the machine sounds.
